A maternity retailer is selling a shirt for pregnant women that reads “Wake Me Up When I’m Skinny.”
From A Pea in the Pod Maternity, this shirt sells for $48. That’s probably more outrageous than the crap nonsense that’s printed on it. There are lots of things pregnant women need while they are waiting to birth their offspring. I doubt one of them is a shirt that reinforces the idea that there is something wrong with their bodies during pregnancy.
Because pregnant women who have the audacity to put on weight while pregnant should just shutter themselves away and fall into long, deep slumbers like Sleeping Beauty so no one ever has to see them when they are not skinny. Oh joy joy.
