The Cast Photo for Jessica Chastain's Spy Film Has Melted My Eyeballs

Entertainment

Jessica Chastain has a spy thriller coming out that involves an extremely thrilling cast of women.

The movie, 355, is basically giving us what we want: a James Bond-type movie that isn’t just a woman plugged in as Jane Bond, Deadline reports.

Conceived by Chastain and written by Theresa Rebeck, the story brings together five ultra-spies from around the world who have to learn to get along to destroy their common enemy. Who has done something so terrible that they’ve turned Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Fan Bingbing, and Lupita Nyong’o against them?!

The film just scored a huge deal with a French distributor called SND at Cannes, which is an extremely important step towards seeing these women on screen together. They all assembled at the festival, which was already buzzing about the package. The mere photo of them shared by Lupita Nyong’o is enough to melt your timeline:

Chastain is apparently a bit of a “spy head” and is lovingly injecting her knowledge into the whole project:

Chastain wove some of the spy craft she learned starring in Zero Dark Thirty, and she has brought in some intelligence experts to inject cutting edge technology to help shape the narrative. That inside baseball stuff included the title, which was the code name of the first female spy in the American Revolution and became jargon for a female intelligence agent.

Okay, we’ve had enough sequels about Jason Bourne, let’s follow-up 355 with the personal narratives of each on of these women. Give! Me! A! Franchise!
