Scarlett Johansson’s face is strangely devoid of personality in her new Mango ads — and, come to think of it, what’s up with her glazed-over Valley of the Dolls eyes?

We’ve come to expect blank-faced models in advertising, but Scarlett’s overly expressionless visage and dead eyes here seem a bit much, as if her facial muscles were digitally removed. Turns out that they can genuinely suck the soul out of you in post-production. Technology!
