“I am going to say something here and I don’t care if it’s politically correct” is a great way to start a statement because it already tells the listener so much about you — mostly that you’re a dick and never cared much about being politically correct in the first place. It also gives us the heads up that whatever you’re about to say is going to be utter nonsense and that we should probably just take a short brain nap for awhile or find something more pressing to do like read all of the old texts in our phones.
“I am going to say something here and I don’t care if it’s politically correct” is the exact way that Focus on the Family’s Bryan Fisher started his rambling diatribe on the way God designed women to be domestic, men to be breadwinners and how this whole working mothers bringing home the bacon thing goes against everything in the Bible and Christianity itself.
So here are your choices: you could watch this video of an old fossil ranting and raving about progress that he has no power to stop or you could organize your receipts/look up old screenplays for Full House episodes/make a snack/do literally anything else. It’s up to you!
