Killer Birds On The Loose In Australia

People in Northeast Australia are being warned to steer clear of cassowaries, flightless, clawed birds that can grow to 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. The birds, which are an endangered species, have been starving since their habitat was destroyed by Cyclone Yasi. Air drops of food are being organized, but residents have been advised not to feed them, since they’re capable of disemboweling a human or killing a horse with one kick.
