No You're Not Dreaming, It's a Playground for Cats

Latest

The Toronto Humane Society opened a rooftop garden last month for its resident kittens. The large outdoor space is filled with bunches of catnip and other tasty herbs. Cats awaiting homes get to prance in the dirt and pounce on plants so they’ll know just how to fuck up your plants when they move in. Smart.

Unsurprisingly, it’s awesome and both cats and volunteers love it.

The humane society’s director, Barbara Steinhoff, told Catster that it’s going great. She says it’s especially rewarding to watch kittens, freed from their cages for the very first time, explore their surroundings. “To see them running and playing is such an incredible experience,” she says. Awww.

Yet another reason to move to Canada. Annnd case closed.
