Yesterday may have been the birthday of Benedict Cumberbatch, but here at Jezebel, it’s a whole weekend affair.
Imgur user YourPersonalNarrator posted this picture of a school band and choir, and—HOLY CRAP IS THAT BENEDONK CUMBERBOOTY? Eh, probably not. YourPersonalNarrator claims to have seen the photo (hilariously captioned “Apparently Bandersnatch Camembert used to play the bassoon.”) on the wall at his/her school. And given the fashion and the monochrome graininess, it looks like it’s from the 50s.
So either Benedict’s signature look and approachable awkwardness is not so unique or he is actually a time-traveling wizard that enjoys jamming out with school bands on a bassoon. Please let it be the second one.
