Iowa Farmer Makes Bernie Sanders Most Authentic Campaign Sign
PoliticsEvery hippie must dream of having their name carved into a soybean field.
Bernie Sanders has achieved that dream thanks to Mike Pattavina, a 68-year-old Clarinda, Iowa farmer who plowed “Bernie” into his soybean field. The “B” is 60-feet tall.
“I’ve never seen anything like this, so I thought I would do something different. I’m a huge supporter of Bernie’s,” Pattavina explained to the Des Moines Register, noting that it only took him maximum 30 minutes to complete the tribute.
“I just want people to see it, and maybe, hopefully, some people can see it from the air. Just to show support for Bernie,” Pattavina said to ABC News, noting that some of his other signs had been stolen from his yard.
